trans-tasmanTFA is now seeking Coaches to lead the Australian Masters Trans Tasman Teams for the 2010 for the series against New Zealand.

The coaching appointments will be made for this 2010 series only, however strong performances at the 2010 event will be taken into consideration when coaching appointments are made for the 2011 World Cup.

Over the next few days TFA will be releasing details of the tour and associated levy amounts.

TFA is therefore seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified, currently accredited and active coaches to fill the Master Coach positions.

The positions being offered are:

  • Men’s 30’s Coach
  • Men’s 35’s Coach
  • Men’s 40’s Coach
  • Men’s 45’s Coach
  • Men’s 50’s Coach
  • Women’s 30’s Coach
  • Women’s 35’s Coach
  • Women’s 40’s Coach
  • Senior Mixed Coach

EOI should include:

  • Name
  • Contact Details
  • NCAS Coaching Level and Date Achieved
  • State Association Endorsement
  • In 1000 words or less a coaching vision that outlines your experience, program vision and your intended coaching plan for the 2010 series.

Your application should also address the following:

  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of the New Zealand style of play
  • Demonstrate knowledge of different types of defensive policies

The following process will apply for each position once EOI have been received:

  • EOI will be forwarded to the Selection Panel for analysis and ranking.
  • The High Performance Manager will collate and develop a ranking matrix.
  • The applicant or applicants receiving the highest total scores may be short listed for interview
    if the Selection Panel considers an interview appropriate.
  • Unsuccessful applicants will then be notified.
  • If required the interview process will occur via teleconference where the nominated Head of the Selection Panel will lead the discussion on the strengths, style and suitability for the role. Various questions can be directed, with 35mins allocated per candidate.
  • The Selection Panel will then reconsider and discuss individual applicants.
  • Once the Selection Panel makes a decision the successful applicant will then be offered the position.
