Kerrod, I like the work that's been done to the website over the last couple of years, but this year I was a little disappointed because the focus seemed to be further afield than the club.

What about bringing back Tribal Voice as an online newsletter (or incorporating it into your Redskins TV) with stories of how teams are progressing, club news and events and even personality profiles? I know you already have a news section on the site, so this could include monthly posts from the refs director and coaching director (which could then form your blogs), a message from the president's desk etc, which would promote and encourage people to keep coming back to the site, and would also allow those former 'skins (like me) to stay in touch.

As for the user community, what's the aim? I think you'd get better use if you allowed people to link to the facebook[sup]TM[/sup] page from this website.

It was with great interest I watched last Friday night's NRL clash between the Brisbane Broncos and those slippery Parramatta Eels, for I happened to notice a former Redskins junior making his debut.

Anthony Mitchell's 80th-minute try was the nail in the coffin for the Broncos, but I couldn't help giving him two thumbs up for his effort. It got me thinking about that other former Redskin running around in the NRL, Aiden Guerra.

Granted, the guys also hail from Rugby League Club Townsville Brothers - credit where credit is due...

Do we have any other big-name celebs?

This year saw the introduction of Commenting and (albeit with limited take-up) Blogging. But what should 2011 have in store for Redskins.com.au?

After an absence from the website in 2010, Footy Tipping looks set to return to Redskins.com.au in 2011. I've also got a couple of other ideas that may be worth looking into, including a user-community (similar to facebook) and a "RedskinsTV" section (which was discussed in 2008/2009 but never eventuated).

So now I'm going to put it to the members of the club and users of the website...

What would you like to see become part of Redskins.com.au in 2011 (or for the remainder of 2010)?

Post and debate your ideas below. The best ones (if they are feasible) will be used, the others, well... they may just give us something to talk about!

Yeah, that came down to either problems with the website or me getting lazy...
While I'm sure that was a contributing factor, I'm doubting it was the real reason why participation fell away... But, if we could get people to commit to the comp, I'd have no hesitation in installing it again.

1. If you go back to the home page, you will see a default picture under the my.Redskins.com.au heading, click on that and you will be able to upload a new one.
2. Definitely. It's meant to be just under the red bar at the bottom. Just working on getting it to look right. Can you get me a list of the current sponsors?
3. Not yet, but I'm working on something similar to it. I have come across something that will allow us to have a facebook-like feature (complete with status updates, groups, etc, and it will even link to facebook). Just waiting to suss it all out...

Kerrod I for one used it often however I found that I could only access it ( due to work commitments) at specific times and if it was not updated or active and I missed my window I would miss that weeks selection I vote for it to stay.

Now that we have a brand new website, we can re-evaluate the usefullness of certain features that we had on the old website, such as the Footy Tipping Competition.

When we first added the comp to the website in '08, it was a big hit, was used every week, resulted in some great discussions in the forums and ultimately meant that the website gained a huge amount of popularity.

However in '09, the comp consisted of about 20 names, of which there were about 5 that were actively using it.

So I guess that I am asking the question... Is it worth having a footy tipping competition on the website? Will it be used in 2010 or will it fall by the wayside again?

Let me know what you think... NRL Season 2010 kicks off on March 12, so we still have a bit of time to make the decision.

Just a quick note to say hello and welcome to the new forums.

The new forum has undergone a major update but essentially is the same system as the previous website used.

I'm still not happy with the way the forum looks and I'm working on a new look for it, but that'll come later.

If you experience any problems, please let me know!
