Now that the season is about to draw to a close, I would like to thank all of our members who gave up their time to referee this year. Your contribution, although sometimes it seemed the opposite, didn't go unnoticed.

I want to thank certain individuals for their efforts this year however I'm not going to name them because I don't want to miss anyone out. To those referees who gave that extra effort and always put their hand up to help out, you know who you are, I want to say a big thank-you, you efforts certainly haven't gone unnoticed.

One person I will name though is our Coaching Director, Kelly Condon. Kelly developed and introduced the roster system this year, which I believe is a great idea and should be built upon and used in next years competition.

The next event on the calendar, after Grand Final day of course, is the North Queensland All Schools. Redskins referees have always played a big part in the tournament and I'm hoping that we continue to do so.

This years tournament will be held on Saturday August 21 and Sunday August 22 at Queens Park, Townsville. The 2010 Winter Season may be just about over, but that doesnt mean there isn't any more Touch to be played (or refereed for that matter). Starting at the end of August will be the Townsville Junior Touch competition, which is played on Friday nights from 5:00pm onwards.
